Research has shown that in London alone, 6,000 Jews are looking for support to gain employment every year.
Since 1992 Resource – the Jewish community’s dedicated employment support organisation – has been offering free employment advice, support and skills training to Jewish people, nationwide, from every occupational background and across the religious spectrum.
With over 50 professional HR and business experts, they help over 1,000 people annually.
However, with so many people in need of support, the charity has been working to expand its reach and professionalise its offering. Following a grant from the Wohl Legacy in 2023, Resource has been able to hire a full-time administrator to support their mainly volunteer-led work ,and launched a new marketing campaign to raise awareness of its services more widely in the community and beyond.
In just the first six months following this new initiative, they helped an incredible 172% more individuals with their job search compared to the same period of the previous year.
